Jimmie and Hannah

Ah, life is good!

I’m delighted to tell you of the engagement of our daughter Hannah to Jimmie Horton. The wedding is tentatively scheduled for January 24. They are both thrilled, and Jimmie is the best choice for a son-in-law I ever met.

We celebrated over dinner tonight at our local hotspot, café dodici.

Home!

Colten chats me up over breakfast

July takes me away from home more than usual, and posts can be few and far between.  Lori and I spent a week vacationing in the beautiful (and a bit cooler) lake country of Minnesota. Our grandson Colten was along – Lori shot this photo of us through the screen one morning.

Holiday

Yup, we’re on holiday … back soon!

Hannah’s commencement

Commencement time! Lori and I delighted in the graduation of our daughter Hannah last Saturday. She received a B.S.N. from the University of Iowa College of Nursing on May 12, 2007. See the video below the photo for a glimpse of the ceremony.  It makes me smile every time I watch it.
