Think Muslims support terror? Check this out …

with 17 comments

What percentage of people living in Muslim countries would say that attacks on civilians are sometimes justified? And how would that number compare to those answering the same question in the USA?

According to this article by Kenneth Ballen in the Christian Science Monitor, the University of Maryland’s Program on International Public Attititudes surveyed Americans, asking if “bombing and other attacks intentionally aimed at civilians” are ever justified. Others asked similar questions in the most populous Muslim countries. The results:

Percentage of population agreeing
that terrorist attacks are “never justified:”
Pakistan: 86%
Bangladesh: 81%
Indonesia: 74%
USA: 46%

Enough of this foolishness about Islam being a religion of war. And of America being a nation of peace.

More interesting stats in the surveys themselves – click above. Thanks, Homeyra, for this tip.
