“Like flicking matches” at gasoline: Scott Ritter, UN weapons inspector who opposed the Iraq invasion (and was correct about the absence of WMD), believes Bush is prepping for another war. Click through on the link for details.

0120 05 1Scott Ritter, one of the former United Nations inspectors who didn’t find any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, denounced the Bush administration for going to war with WMDs as the primary rationale in March 2003. Now he fears the United States is on the brink of war with Iran.Ritter points to a military buildup in the region, the so-called threats to the U.S. Navy from Iranian speed boats last week and a U.S. Senate resolution that labels elements of Iran as a terrorist organization.“It’s like filling up a house with gasoline and flicking matches at the door,” Ritter said. “Sooner or later it will connect.”. . .

His conclusion: “What’s really going on is a road map for global domination. The war in Iraq initiated a long-term strategy neo conservatives have been formulating to divide the world into spheres of influence and dominate them economically, militarily and diplomatically.”

  1. This is partly why many people believe the gov was behind 9-11: So that the American people would be willing to support a war on terrorism to whatever ends. It has been documented that the Bush administration wanted to go to war w/ Afghanistan and Iraq way before9-11 ever happened. I don’t know for sure who was behind 9-11, but I do not buy the traditional 9-11 story-it just does not add up.

Monte Says: One hates to think it, but I understand the former President of Italy, Francesco Cossiga, now believes the CIA/9-11 story (I think it was published on December 4 of last year in the Italian press), along with several other European government officials. “Surely not,” I think. But then – we Americans are so very ignorant of the number of nations taken down and millions of killings committed or caused by the CIA. One is never fully confident of our government’s innocence. Osama will never catch up to the CIA, whose record is the among greatest of USA-perpetrated tragedies and most grievous of American sins. We who follow Christ (especially, I would think) are obliged to join those who value human life of all faith persuasions in condemning murder, greed, and provocation of war; and double-especially when it’s our tax dollars paying for it.
