Kucinich post-Sojo-forum interview

with 4 comments

The interview with Dennis Kucinich by Paula Zahn, done after last night’s Sojourner’s forum on faith and politics. Pretty remarkable ideas expressed here, and ones that have often been lacking from American discourse.

  1. Actually, I think your view of eschatology may be more traditional – and certainly more Wesleyan – than that premillenialism which is in vogue recently. May his Kingdom come!

  2. Hey Monte

Thanks for posting the two videos on faith & politics. Makes me lament that I forgot to set my dvr…anyway – as I listen, I find myself thinking that maybe we are nearing the end times – the time when the reign of Christ, the message of love and forgiveness, healing, justice and freedom (think Luke 4) rule and every knee bows to the Truth…a different take on eschatology, but one that has been rolling around in my head and heart for a while.

  3. Thanks, Ann, I agree. It has often seemed simplistic to me that abortion was so frequently relegated to discussions of punishment or not punishment, rather than asking what needs that give rise to it could be constructively addressed.

  4. Thanks for sharing this interview. I’m impressed by his astute inversion of the question “Is God on our side?” to the more salient question “Are we on God’s side?” and his considered response on the always challenging abortion topic.
